Buttercup Bus worked with a global beauty brand, and hit the road with a vibrant, high-impact foundation Makeup Beauty Tour, bringing its latest complexion launch directly to consumers across the UK with a vinyl wrapped, branded campervan.
The beauty PR campaign centred around the brand’s newest hero product, a new foundation makeup product, designed to deliver flawless coverage with a breathable, skin-like finish. To launch the product in an immersive way, we transformed a fully branded campervan into a rolling beauty hub, touring major city shopping malls across the country.
A Mobile Beauty Experience
The eye-catching pink campervan stopped at high-footfall locations for this beauty brand activation, including London – Bluewater shopping mall, Manchester Trafford Centre and Newcastle Metrocentre. Each stop featured:

- Product samples and giveaways
On the mobile beauty tour, fans were invited to the van to test the Foundation beauty product in real-time, proving its key qualities – perfect for busy summer days and festival nights. It was a case of true experiential beauty marketing.

Venue sourcing
We began with a detailed consultation to understand the client’s vision and target demographic. We then researched, and presented several key shopping mall spaces, confirming availability and pricing, managing contracts and all stakeholders.
Full vinyl wrap
We provided our artwork campervan template, and worked with the client designer. We put the artwork into production and vinyl wrapped the campervan – including interior branding elements such as counter top and inner elevating roof to create the perfect branded promotional vehicle.
Logistics / transporter
There was a tight itinerary across the country – so we managed all logistics, using transporters where needed, and travelling through the night – adhering to access and egress requirements.
Installation
Our team installed the beauty pop-up activation at each site – to include laying the carpet, setting up spinner wheels and makeup stands, meticulously presenting the campervan in the perfect position for footfall, whilst adhering to site regulations for the brand activation.
Risk assessments
We completed site assessments, and reviewed and conformed with strict H&S regulations, including emptying & venting the campervan fuel tank, and manually installing onsite.
Stock distribution
We stored and distributed all the stock for the tour as well as setup furnishings. We kept tracks of what was on-board and communicated with the agency on stock levels.
Reporting
We provided 24hour comms including updates from our trackers on vehicle locations when travelling through the night / reports on each setup with documentation.
