Bumble dating app hits the news and Bumble the wedding campervan
This week, female founded dating app (called Bumble) hit the news, as it went public, valued at over £13bn after listing shares. This is a historic moment, as Ms Wolfe Herd (31) is the youngest woman to take a company public in the US – based on yesterday’s results, she is now a rare, self-made female billionaire.
In the same week, coincidentally, this very app led to interest in Bumble the wedding campervan. Read on to find out more!

What is the Bumble dating app all about?
Dating apps are nothing new – many will have heard about swiping left or right on apps such as Tinder to find a “match”… but the Bumble app has a different angle on “making the first move”!
The app is open to everyone, whatever your sexuality. In heterosexual matches, only female users can make the first contact with matched male users. In same-sex matches either person can send a message first.
When matches are identified, they expire after 24 hours, if contact is not made …. this is unless any users awaiting an initial contact have paid a fee to extend their match for a further 24 hours.
With 42 million monthly active users during the third quarter of 2020 and around 2.4 million paying users as of September 2020, the app has a strong client base, and a presence in more than 150 countries.

Meet Bumble the wedding campervan
Now, there just happens to be a big coincidence – as a few days before Whitney Wolfe Herd and her dating app hit the news, an enquiry came through to Buttercup Bus Vintage Campers from a Bride-to-be.
She was interested in Bumble the wedding campervan, in honey and cream – dating back to 1976, and available for VW Camper wedding car hire services.
When she mentioned that she had previously met her partner on Bumble, I was a litttle confused, asking when she had previously met the campervan. Being married myself, I am a little out of touch with dating apps (although I did operate a speed dating set up, in partnership with a well known pub chain back in the ’90s – but that’s a whole different story!)
It was only at this point, when the romantic connection dawned on me, what with the dating app and our wedding campervan sharing the same great name, “Bumble”.

Bumble the wedding campervan can bring layers of meaning into your special day
So, with romance in the air, as we approach Valentines 2021, if there are any of you making use of the Bumble dating app (especially whilst in lockdown, where meeting new people becomes just that little bit more challenging), then who knows where that swipe right could lead….
And if it leads to the match you have been waiting for, and the destiny you have been dreaming of…. then perhaps you may find yourself meeting as a married couple for the first time on a different kind of “Bumble”….. a 1970s honey coloured wedding campervan called Bumble….. which will bring smiles, so matter whether you steer her left or right!
