Buttercup is our primrose yellow VW Camper – and she is super popular for weddings in the spring time because of her colour… But her yellow paintwork is also the perfect complement for those pretty autumn colours, with the carpet of golden leaves under the trees.
When the super lovely Surrey wedding cake lady (Elsa from Let It Be Cake ) asked whether we would be interested in collaborating for an autumn Surrey Wedding photoshoot, with the amazing Alan Barnes photography, I jumped at the opportunity. Not only would I get to work with some awesome local wedding suppliers (to include Jade Violet make up artist and also From this moment bridal studios and Muscari Whites flowers) but with Alan’s creative flair, I would also get some amazing photos of Buttercup looking glamorous in her Autumn surroundings.
Now, the photoshoot took place last year, in 2014 – but I was a very naughty blogger and did not post the pictures in time to catch autumn – so decided to be patient and wait until the following autumn. I’m glad I did – Buttercup looks right at home in the forest with all those colours.
My favourite picture is the one at the top of this blog post, with the camera angle capturing the leaves and the colours in the trees.
Usually Buttercup is adorned in her wedding ribbons – but with the photoshoot we kept her plain. However, we have decorated her in the past in rich chocolate browns, burnt orange, copper and gold ribbons for autumn weddings and they look great!
