Unprecedented times – our temporary postponement policy

With global uncertainty following the Coronavirus pandemic, many people have been faced with some challenging decisions. Right across the events industry that we love to work in, events such as festivals, parties, holiday trips and weddings are faced with potential cancellations or postponement.  We really do feel bad for all of those involved in these unprecedented times.

As a small business ourselves, we want to look after our clients – whilst also ensuring that we can fulfil our own staffing and financial comittments.

In response to COVID-19, we have put in place a temporary policy to assist any clients with postponing their date without losing any of their funds.

Our temporary policy – Deferring

Our temporary policy is that:

  • we have decided to temporarily offer to reschedule any event or holiday booking to another date;
  • you must book the rescheduled date within 1 year of your current event date;
  • the actual rescheduled date can be any time up to 18 months from your original booked date;
  • standard payment terms apply with any outstanding final invoice payments due in line with the original invoice due date (see under the terms and conditions tab on our website here);
  • Any funds that we receive from our clients can be used for their new event. 
  • Once the new date is confirmed by email, the standard terms and conditions will apply to that revised date – we will not be able to issue you with a refund if you then cancel that revised date.

For wedding car services and campervan photobooths, this is based on travel within 40 miles of our base in Croydon (unless we have previously agreed to travel outside of this area with you), and subject to our availability for the new date – otherwise the late cancellation terms will apply against your standard terms.

For self-drive hire bookings, we will also honour this temporary policy – but based on like for like travel plans. Whilst we are unable to part refund if you re-book to a cheaper season, we will certainly reschedule to your preferred date as required (subject to availability). If transferring to a more expensive season, we will need to invoice you the difference.

For corporate promotional tour bookings, we will also work with you to reschedule / defer. Please contact us to discuss the tailored nature of your booking.

If deferring, let us know as soon as possible, to secure your date

This temporary policy is subject to our availability. If we cannot commit the revised date, then the standard cancellation terms will apply. We would therefore advise you to re-book any deferred date with us as quickly as possible – in order to secure your preferred vehicle and dates.

Discounts for mid week wedding car or campervan photobooth postponed events

We anticipate Autumn 2020 and most of 2021 to get rather busy, as we take on our regular bookings plus any deferred booking commitments. To try to ease the demand on our prime Saturday bookings, we are offering to all current clients that have secured their booking with a deposit:

  • A free upgrade to our top Disco campervan photobooth package for all Shimmie and Boogie packages deferred to a Mon-Fri date; or
  • A £50 discount to all previously booked Disco packages if deferred to a Mon-Fri date; or
  • A £25 discount and free soft drinks hamper service for all wedding car bookings that defer to a Mon-Fri date.

This offer is subject to availability on your deferred date – and only open to our current wedding car and campervan photobooth clients that have confirmed their booking with a deposit.

Cancellation

Whilst we really don’t want you to cancel, if your booking is more than 30 days away, then you can contact us as per the standard terms and conditions to cancel your booking. We will not be able to refund the booking deposit – and so would encourage you to consider a deferral – so that you can protect those funds and use them to the postponed booking.
